Our Artist Development Scheme is an initiative driven by the core value of true inclusivity. It is designed to address the needs of under-represented artists by providing tailored support in various aspects of dance creation. This scheme aims to offer artists the essential resources of space, time, guidance, and sharing opportunities to nurture their artistic endeavours. We’re thrilled to be working with Team Domenica, offering workforce placements for young people with learning disabilities. Engaging them with tasks such as; front desk, reception, customer interaction, social media tasks, administrative duties and venue maintenance.
With thanks to Sussex Community Foundation, we have received funding to support 5 dance leaders from Crawley to take their skills to the next level and become a next generation of dance leaders.
The Marina Studios Foundation support the Y.E.S Project, which brings exciting and engaging dance and movement sessions and opportunities across Sussex. A big thank you to our supporters: Awards For All, PCC, Focus Foundation, Star Trust, Sport England.
We’re running outreach programmes bringing dance and movement to communities to support with our Inclusion Mission. We’re working with Team Domenica - offering daytime tap classes as part of their enrichment program, working on a mixture of technical exercises , rhythm and routines. With all sorts of styles and music the class provides an opportunity for young people with learning disabilities the chance to discover the joy of dance and movement!
We’re running outreach programmes bringing dance and movement to communities to support with our Inclusion Mission. The Marina Studios Foundation have partnered with the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to provide a highly qualified specialist teacher to work with young people experiencing eating disorders through carefully curated Yoga sessions for young individuals.
